The Emperor has no clothes…

I wrote an article for this week’s Mail & Guardian with the original title “The Emperor has no clothes on” which subsequently got changed to “Back to the real basics” which is perhaps less obscure but far less sexy. Nevertheless I am quite attached to the analogy from Anderson’s fairy tale and I am committed to using it with reference to the SA education system at some point in the future.
